What Is CEDIA Expo 2026?

CEDIA Expo 2026 is the leading annual event for residential systems integration professionals. This year’s edition marks its 36th year. The show brings together thousands of integrators, business operators, consultants, architects and designers, media and analysts across the smart home industry. It runs in Denver, with the 2027 show set for Las Vegas. It remains the singular gathering where the residential systems integration industry connects, aligns, collaborates and plans for what’s next.

“Purpose is front of mind for every show-goer at CEDIA Expo,” explains Jason McGraw, group vice president and show director of CEDIA Expo, powered by Forge. “Attendees come to the show with a strong motivation to learn more, earn more and grow their residential systems integration business. The show’s exhibits, education, thought leadership, features and networking are purposely curated to serve that need.”

When and Where Does CEDIA Expo 2026 Take Place?

CEDIA Expo 2026 takes place Tuesday, Sept. 1 through Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, in Denver. The show returns to the city for its 36th annual edition before it begins rotating to new host cities, starting with Las Vegas in 2027. That shift gives the event broader geographic reach while keeping this year’s focus firmly on Denver.

What Will Be on the Exhibit Floor?

The exhibit floor will feature more than 300 brands, including over 65 new-to-show exhibitors, packed into one show. Audio, video, smart home, home theater, security, lighting, shading, energy and outdoor exhibitors will showcase a wide range of residential systems technologies. Integrators can also explore more than 20 audio and home theater demo rooms alongside many show-floor activations built to put products in front of buyers.

What Education and Training Are Available?

CEDIA Expo 2026 offers more than 100 CEDIA Education Conference sessions and 100 manufacturer training sessions for attendees who want to sharpen their skills. The lineup also includes a keynote and nearly 20 Smart Stage sessions covering industry insights. Together, these programs give integrators, consultants and designers a deep slate of learning opportunities across the four days.

What After-Hours Events Are Planned?

The after-hours lineup centers on the CE Pro All-Star Band Opening Night Party, sponsored by Comcast, D-Tools and Proluxe, plus a pub crawl on Friday evening. Beyond the scheduled events, Denver will likely host hundreds of informal get-togethers as industry friends connect before, during and after show hours. These gatherings give you the chance to build relationships that carry well past the show floor.

Why Is Denver a Strong Host City?

Denver is a strong host city because it pairs a major industry event with vibrant, memorable experiences for every attendee. The city offers six Michelin-starred restaurants, an extensive lineup of five-star restaurants across many cuisines, more than 70 breweries and over 600 bars and saloons. For those extending their stay over the holiday weekend, Maná is playing at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the Rockies are at home all week. You can also find hikes, runs, rides and rounds of golf across the metro area.

“Denver is an incredible host city with vibrant, memorable experiences for all interests of CEDIA Expo attendees,” McGraw says. “And for diversity and reach, we’ll begin to rotate the show to various host cities beyond Denver, beginning with Las Vegas next year in 2027. Exciting times are ahead, but attendees will have a blast in Denver this year!”

How Broad Is the Residential Technology on Display?

The residential technology on display keeps growing broader, reaching well beyond entertainment into applications that shape daily life. Audio, video, smart home, home theater, security, lighting, shading, energy and outdoor exhibitors are showcasing technologies for fitness, wellness, work from home, aging in place and parenting. That range reflects how central the connected home has become to how people live.

“Home is where the heart is, but it’s increasingly where work is done, where fitness is gained, where friends and family are entertained, where kids are schooled, where wellness is advanced and, critically, where lifestyles are enriched,” McGraw says. “That’s what residential systems technology and custom integration is all about, and it’s what CEDIA Expo is all about! I look forward to welcoming the industry at this year’s show!”

How Can Attendees Prepare for the Show?

Prepare by mapping out the exhibits, education sessions, demo rooms and after-hours events you want to prioritize across the four days. With more than 300 brands, over 100 education sessions and a full slate of networking, planning ahead helps you make the most of your time in Denver.
