Screen Innovations Simplifies Shade and Screen Installation and Integration with New Professional Grade Power and Control Ecosystem
Screen Innovations introduces systems integrators to the SI Ecosystem, a package of products and technology designed from scratch by the custom integration channel to give dealers the most flexible and robust wired, wireless, and app control available. What sets the SI Ecosystem apart is its real-time adjustable features. With Wireless Link Quality, Frequency/Channel Adjustments, and Routing Tables, dealers have complete transparency and control to adjust and maximize every job while on site. These powerful features eliminate the need to call support and initiate truck rolls, saving time and money. As many as 150 wireless or 512 wired PoE/485 shades and screens can be powered and controlled via a single SI Ecosystem. The shades and screens arrive onsite already commissioned and ready to install, customize and integrate with leading third-party control systems. Each SI Ecosystem comes with an optional SI App for convenient management and control of every connected device in the Ecosystem. Three SI Ecosystem packages are available so dealers can choose a solution that best addresses the requirements of every commercial and residential project.
Screen Innovations Introduces Revolutionary New Projection Screen Optic from CarbonBlack Technology—Rivals LED Video Wall in 16’ x 99’ Size and Support of UST and Standard Throw ALR
Projection screens and LED walls each offer distinct performance and aesthetic advantages. Thanks to an agreement with CarbonBlack Technology, Screen Innovations, dealers can now offer their customers large-format imaging solution that delivers the superior contrast, color accuracy, and sharpness of LED displays with the installation flexibility (ultra-short-throw, standard-throw, edge blending) of projection screens. CarbonBlack harnesses the power and resolution of laser projectors to offer dealers a value proposition for projects that require exceptional performance and design flexibility for large, immersive viewing environments. Created initially for large entertainment venues where visual immersion of the audience is imperative, CarbonBlack boasts a native 16’ x 99’ footprint, rolls up for easy transportation and handling, can be cut in any shape or size, and mounted via SI’s wide range of screen assemblies. CarbonBlack offers a range of ambient light rejecting screens for different use cases. This unique addition to SI’s existing lineup of screen materials broadens its reach into new larger markets and offers dealers new indoor and outdoor business opportunities. As it does with all screens in its portfolio, SI offers dealers time-saving design assistance for CarbonBlack through its online Screen Builder tool.
Screen Innovations Partners with Current Luxury to Offer Integrators Elite Design-Focused Motorized Drapery Solutions
Screen Innovations (SI) has partnered with Current Luxury to roll motorized drapery rods and tracks into its existing line of design-forward window shades. As the exclusive distributor of Current Luxury’s popular Revolve and SilenTrac products, solutions inspired by Willis Mullett, the esteemed founder of Qmotion, SI now offers its dealers a full complement of window coverings options to help attract new business and build onto existing projects. Revolve and SilenTrac exhibit similar design- and integration-friendly qualities as SI’s legacy roller shade products for a cohesive appearance. Plus, they play well with SI’s full ecosystem of technologies and products, as well as leading control and automation platforms from Savant, Control4, Crestron, and others. To ensure a smooth transition for all dealers, SI is taking all the necessary steps to give its dealers all the right resources to execute projects successfully and build a booming window covering business. This includes updating its online design tools to include draperies and offering expert design and installation guidance in the field. Revolve and SilenTrac come with hardware only, giving integrators and their customers the freedom to choose any drapery fabric they wish from a local work room. Like SI’s motorized shade cassettes, the motorized drapery Revolve rod and SilenTrac drapery track can be installed first and fabric added later.
Screen Innovations Chooses Display Technologies Motorized Masking Screens
Devoted to driving more unique business to its dealers, Screen Innovations (SI) has signed an agreement with Display Technologies (DT) to add DT’s revolutionary motorized masking solutions to SI’s broad range of projection screens. Through this agreement, SI offers its dealers a faster, easier way to deploy large-scale multiway motorized masking screens into home and business environments.
This combined offering is a new approach for SI, which prides itself on providing innovative, functional, stylish, and fun products. Adding innovative motorized masking solutions from DT instantly adds the ideal screens for high-end cinemas to that mix.
DT’s proprietary Mask Position Logic (MPL) system is a crucial differentiator to all other masking solutions. MPL simplifies the setup of masking tremendously by employing an internal network of peripherals that accurately measure the physical position of each mask. The controller, which is factory set with the screen size and mask layout, then uses this position data to drive the masks to the correct location for the requested aspect ratio.
The precisely required aspect ratio is requested via RS232 or IP commands without the overly complex and time-consuming programming typically required by dealers to configure masking presets and then align them with the projector or video processor.
In addition to DT’s revolutionary MPL system, dealers can specify Dynamic screens with the company’s ATRef and ATPro knitted image surfaces. SI dealers can now order this new range of products via SI’s design team. Just as it does with other products in the SI line, the SI design team guides integrators through the selection and ordering process to ensure the right optics and masking per the parameters of the project.
“SI has been at the forefront of the projection screen category for decades. We do that by challenging conventional thinking and looking for ways to bring better solutions to market like we are doing now with the combined SI + DT offering,” says SI founder Ryan Gustafson. “The ease of installation for dealers and the performance of the product are unrivaled, and we’re confident our dealers will enjoy and appreciate this new lineup.”
“We are thrilled that SI identified the unique characteristics of our Dynamic masking screens as an ideal complement to their existing range of solutions,” says Simon Ridley, Technical Director at Display Technologies. “We believe that two innovative companies working together can positively impact all of our partners.”
SI Brand Ambassador Blake Vackar adds, “This marks an exciting chapter for SI and DT as we combine our expertise to provide cutting-edge motorized masking screen solutions to our valued customers. Integrators will love the seamless process of specifying, ordering, and installing DT products via SI.”
