Original Pendant Speaker™ launched in 1985 now updated with sleek modern design and advanced speaker technology
Lenexa, Kan. – June 1, 2022 – MSE Audio, parent company of SoundTube, SolidDrive, Soundsphere and Rockustics proudly announces SoundTube, creator of The Original Pendant Speaker™ in 1985, is displaying two new Mighty Mite pendant speakers at CEDIA Expo 2022.
The Mighty Mite MM43-BGM is 3-way pendant speaker with a 5” dual-chamber, band-pass subwoofer, a 4” woofer and a .75” BroadBeam® ring tweeter. The Mighty Mite MM32-EZ is 2-way pendant speaker with a 5” dual-chamber, band-pass subwoofer, and a 3” wide-range driver. Both speakers work with 8-ohm, 70.7/100-volt connections and are ideal for open-ceiling commercial audio applications. The Mighty Mite produces louder, cleaner sound from one point of origin. With its built-in subwoofer and fuller coverage over larger areas than conventional pro audio speakers, the Mighty Mite generates exceptional sound for music and voice applications. In addition, the speaker’s expanded coverage means fewer speakers are needed making projects more economical and reducing installation labor.
Ideal for paging, background music, foreground music and most open-ceiling applications, the Mighty Mites have a built-in 30-Watt transformer for standard 70/100-volt applications. The unique driver combination gives unprecedented phase-matched audio between the low, mid, and high frequencies. Both Mighty Mite models are 22” high with a 7.4” diameter, weigh 14 lbs. and are available in silver, black and white.
“We reinvented our original classic pendant speaker with a contemporary design and modern speaker technology. Integrators, resellers, and their clients will be amazed by the sound quality. The Mighty Mite is a game-changer for open-ceiling applications,” said Mike Sipe, Vice President of Sales. “These high-performance pendant speakers will become the de facto solution for open ceiling application including retail, hospitality, houses of worship, education and corporate audio applications.”
