Technologically-advanced, exceptionally well-priced and backed by lifetime
warranty, KLH’s Maxwell and Faraday in-wall, in-ceiling and all-weather
loudspeakers are designed to outperform and outlast significantly more
expensive competitors’ products.
9 models in total, including
the brand’s industry-first VX-1 Alexa-voice-enabled amplified keypad, hit the
shelves of all 39 PowerHouse Alliance member locations nationwide beginning September,
an extraordinary accomplishment for a loudspeaker brand that re-entered the
market only one year ago!
Noblesville, IN – September 9, 2019 – Iconic
audio brand KLH, recently reborn and re-introduced
to the marketplace by new owner and CEO David P. Kelley (a former Klipsch executive) with
a multiple award-winning line of in-room speakers, today announced the
launch of the company’s first custom install products. This consists of the
Maxwell and Faraday series of high-performance in-wall, in-ceiling and all-weather
outdoor speakers and an Alexa voice-enabled amplified keypad. The launch is
concurrent with KLH’s arrangement with the PowerHouse Alliance as exclusive
nationwide distributor of its products to the CI channel. The products can be
heard at KLH’s 2019 CEDIA Expo sound room (High Performance Audio Room
#210) and PowerHouse Alliance booth (#2137).
Named after physicists James Clerk Maxwell and Michael Faraday, whose names
appear on buildings at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where famed original
KLH co-founder Henry Kloss attended, the architectural models consist of 4
in-ceiling, 3 in-wall and an outdoor model. All are designed to outperform significantly
more expensive competitors’ products and are backed by lifetime warranty. Development
and manufacturing is led by Kelley and his team of former Klipsch and
loudspeaker industry veterans. This includes KLH Chief Technology Officer
Steven Howell, whose past work includes Carver and Sonance, and KLH VP of
Engineering Kerry Geist, formerly Klipsch VP of Engineering (32-years).

tweeters, tapered array crossovers, tuned and sealed ¾-inch MDF enclosures and gold-plated
5-way spring-loaded binding posts. These robust designs allow for clean,
high-output and power-handling to 350-watts making each suitable for the most
demanding audio and home theater applications.
The Maxwell 2-way (M-8600) and 3-way (M-8650) MSRP for $499 and $649 per

Maxwell In-Ceilings Concentric Design: Broader

Designed to make every location in the room a sweet spot, the Maxwell 2-Way In-Ceiling speaker incorporates
a 1-inch silk dome tweeter mounted directly into the voice coil of a 6.5-inch Kevlar-coated
fiberglass driver. An extra-large voice
coil and sealed tuned enclosure with integrated back cans contribute to clean,
high output. The Maxwell M-8602 can handle 175-watts
each. MSRP $349 each.
The Faraday 2-Way In-Wall, In-Ceiling and All-Weather Series
The Faraday series are solid performers at lesser price points. All feature Injection Molded Graphite

speaker. For in-ceiling applications, available are the 6.5-driver equipped Faraday
F-6600-C at $149 MSRP and 8-inch driver F-6800-C at $175 (all each). For more
demanding ceiling applications, offered is the Faraday F-6600-DVC comprised of
an 8-inch woofer, two 1-inch tweeters and dual-voice coil at $299 MSRP each.
The 2-Way 6.5-inch driver Faraday
F-6600-AW All-Weather outdoor speakers utilize a 6.5-inch polypropylene woofer
and 1-inch titanium tweeter in a sealed enclosure. MSRP $449 per pair.
VX-1 Alexa Voice-Enabled Amplified Keypad. Disruptive
and a World-First
KLH’s unique, patented VX-1 Amplified Keypad with built-in Alexa voice control (and MUZO-app enabled), is a simple
and cost-efficient solution to transform a single-source home audio system to a
wireless multi-zone streaming music system. Outfitted with WiFi, Bluetooth
with aptX, HiRES audio circuitry, and amplification, it replaces the existing
in-wall passive volume control while utilizing the existing speaker wires. According to
Kelley, millions of people can immediately benefit from this, as company
research indicates that 8.5 – 10 million passive in-wall volume controls currently
exist in US homes today. MSRP $199.
Nationwide Distribution Agreement with PowerHouse Alliance
Effective this month, KLH has a distribution agreement with the PowerHouse
Alliance as exclusive nationwide distributor of its products to the CI channel.
The PowerHouse Alliance is a national consortium comprised of 11 distributor members with
39 locations nationwide where dealers can demo and purchase KLH products. KLH
training is coming to the PowerHouse Alliance locations beginning this fall; check the schedule for
details.
“We’ve put a
tremendous amount of passion into creating our Custom Installation Series,”
says KLH CEO David Kelley. “In keeping with original co-founder Henry Kloss’ mission
and accomplishments, our goal is to always deliver the highest-quality speakers
for the price. The feedback from the CEDIA channel — along with that of the audiophile
press at April’s AXPONA show where we demonstrated the Maxwell In-Walls — is
one of amazement in what we’ve achieved. We’re thrilled to launch our first CI
products with the PowerHouse Alliance as distribution partner – a group that KLH
shares the same vision and focus on how to best serve the integrator. Beginning September these new offerings will
be available to thousands of dealers through the members’ 39 locations for both
local pickup and next-day delivery.”
“KLH is a great partner for the PowerHouse Alliance, having
quickly established itself in the industry for providing speakers backed by
high-quality engineering and components,” said Dennis Holzer, Executive
Director, PowerHouse Alliance. “Taking on KLH was a simple decision to give our
dealers access to even more speakers in the audio category, for the right
product for every project. With solid construction, easy installation, and
distributed audio and home cinema applications, plus innovation with new
products, KLH is a great addition to the PowerHouse Alliance vendor lineup. We
invite dealers at CEDIA to check them out at our booth (#2137), and at their
nearest PowerHouse Alliance member location.”
Since entering the market in
September 2018, KLH’s new in-room line (book shelf and floor standing) has
garnered three “TOP CHOICE” awards from AVSForum, Two “Stellar Sound”
awards from Everything Audio Network, three “HiFi Choice” awards from HiFi
Choice in the UK, two “Reviewer’s Choice” awards from Soundstage Global, and
was nominated for “Tower of the Year” by Everything Audio Network.
