Tech Summit at CEDIA Expo
Connecting the Connectors
event focuses on forging relationships and opportunities between the design and
tech industries to create customized, adaptive in-home living
experiences
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — (Sept. 11, 2019) — The National Kitchen & Bath
Association (NKBA), the North American authority on all things residential
kitchen and bath, brings its Thought Leadership Summit series to Denver Sept.
12-13 during the CEDIA Expo, the leading trade show for the home-technology
industry. It features more than 500 of the industry’s top manufacturers of
connected home technology and attracts more than 20,000 residential technology
and design and construction professionals.
The NKBA has committed to building Thought Leadership Summits for
NKBA members. The 2019 event is open exclusively to certified members and focuses
on smart home and integrated technology topics, connecting kitchen and bath
designers with technology integrators.

The NKBA, which has endorsed CEDIA Expo as the platform where residential design
and construction professionals connect with residential integrated technology pros,
is sponsoring the CEDIA Expo Design + Connection Pavilion and Designer Tours.
The pavilion — space #1960 — is home to the NKBA booth #1778H and where the new
NKBA Bathroom Technology Awareness and Usage research study results will be
unveiled. The NKBA will host design and construction professionals for lunch in
the pavilion on Friday, Sept. 13, as part of the Design + Connection Tour.
Google Nest — Kitchen Tech Panel
Discussion
Bill Darcy, NKBA’s CEO, will participate in a panel
discussion hosted by Google Nest on Thursday, Sept. 12. He, along with
representatives from LG Electronics and Google Nest, will discuss insights from
the NKBA 2018 Kitchen Technology study, which revealed strong consumer desire
for technology integration in the kitchen. The role of the technology
integrator and designer in facilitating consumer wants will also be discussed.
