Diego, CA (August 1, 2018) –Origin Acoustics, a leading manufacturer
of architectural loudspeakers and custom installed audio announces an addition
to the new Deep Subwoofer collection – the SUBDD12EQ
to be unveiled at CEDIA Expo 2018, Exhibit #3042, at the San Diego Convention
Center on September 6-8, 2018.
The SUBDD12EQ
becomes the flagship of the series. The sub features two active 12” woofers,
both side mounted at a 90-degree angle to each other. They are driven by 1,200
watts of internal power. Adjusting the various parameters of the system is
accomplished through the dedicated phone app that is connected to the sub via
Bluetooth®. Called “Origin Control” and available at the Apple® App Store or
the Android® Play Store, the app allows for the adjustment of output level,
crossover point, phase and the auto-on feature. In addition, there is an
auto-EQ function that aids in setting up the sub to function properly with the
rest of the speakers in the system.
One of the most advantageous adjustments is the single band
parametric EQ. This allows for attenuation of the offensive resonance frequency
that is often created by the sub’s position in the room in relation to the
listening position. The frequency, bandwidth and either cut or boost can be
applied to fine tune the subs performance.
