Rose Electronics Showcases the CrystalView HDMI 4K60 – HDMI 2.0 HDBaseT Extender
Rose Electronics, a pioneer in KVM switching, extension, and video processing is releasing the CrystalView HDMI 4K60 – HDMI 2.0 Extender over CATx cable.
The product combines high-resolution video, audio, RS232, and IR into one CATx cable. HDMI 4K video at 60Hz transports over a single CATx cable up to 265ft (80 meters). HDMI 1080p at 60Hz will reach up to 330ft (100 meters). Audio supported is high-definition uncompressed 7.1ch audio, DTS-HD Master Audio™, and Dolby TrueHD™.
The CrystalView HDMI 4K60 features a built-in, bidirectional infrared (IR) signal extender, which allows you to remotely control devices at the source or destination end of the connection. For example, you can control the source of either a Blu-ray or HD-TV player from the remote TV location.
For added versatility, both the transmitter and receiver units can be powered from the same power supply using Power-over-Cable (PoC). This simplifies installation and is ideal for installations where power sources may be limited.
Additionally, the extender is capable of transmitting RS232 serial control signals up to 115,200bps over the same CATx cable, enabling the remote connection of any serial device that would normally be directly connected to the host device.
EDID is managed automatically and there is provision for EDID bypass. Other features include CEC support, HDCP 1.4 and 2.2 compatibility, and capability for firmware upgrade.
