Learn the Benefits of Somfy Being So Open
Somfy
Systems, Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of tubular motors for interior
window coverings and exterior solar protections, will
showcase innovative and open solutions at CEDIA Expo 2018 to integrate
motorized window coverings and offer users a richer home automation experience.
Somfy’s solutions for leading ecosystems and open services platforms allow
integrators to expand profit potential and offer the comfort, convenience, and
energy savings of motorized window coverings.
“Somfy is excited to provide wider access to
the benefits of motorized window coverings, inside and out,” said Tom Murphy,
Chief Operating Officer of Somfy North America.
Stop by Booth #5013 to discover Somfy’s robust
integration options and compatibility with leading home automation systems,
regardless of brand or technology, simplifying integration for projects of all
sizes. Our open API means Somfy can work with Internet of Things (IoT)
third-party players including Control4®, Crestron®, Savant, Elan®, RTI, URC™,
AMX® and Vantage.
Somfy’s newest product, the award-winning SDN
Power over Ethernet (PoE) Gateway, continues Somfy’s commitment to innovative
integration solutions. PoE
Gateway is a Somfy Digital Network™ (SDN) low-voltage power distribution and
network-connected module that utilizes 60-watt PoE technology to power and
control the Somfy 24V DC RS485 motorization offer for interior shades and
draperies. The PoE allows integrators to lower costs, improve efficiency,
reduce infrastructure costs and take advantage of the benefits of motorized
shading.
Somfy’s
wide range of integration devices on display at CEDIA 2018 includes the Somfy
Connect™ Universal Automation Interface (UAI) Plus and the updated myLink™.
These devices make it possible to integrate Somfy motors over IP, offering a
standardized approach to Somfy integration and consistency for integrators from
project to project. Integrators should also stop by for a sneak preview of
Somfy’s upcoming line of ZigBee® protocol products.
Somfy’s booth will also feature an integration
configurator to help identify the right device for every job. Explore Somfy’s
wide network of fabricators and immediately identify partners that can
fabricate the motorized product for any job with any specification. Somfy
offers solutions for interior and exterior applications to enhance the overall
end user experience.
“We’re excited to bring our message of
openness to CEDIA and show how Somfy’s customized options can fit any project,”
Murphy said.
