Introducing Datasources

AVgator Studio introduces the datasource feature, designed to simplify the creation of element lists with a consistent structure and functionality—such as channel-switching buttons for a cable TV remote.
With datasources, you can efficiently import lists, such as TV channels, from your sources or database in JSON array or JSON object formats, regardless of their size. If JSON export is unavailable, CSV support will be introduced soon.
Our datasource feature accommodates any data structure, regardless of complexity. You can filter and modify the data as needed, either during import or directly within the interface. By setting a datasource as the source for your list, you can automatically create list entries for each dataset item, with each entry reflecting its corresponding data segment.

More Data, More Dynamic

If your sources or database lack an export feature, AVgator Studio allows you to access data directly from the network. Our datasource functionality seamlessly integrates with popular REST API interfaces, including Strapi, ensuring a smooth and efficient integration experience.
AVgator Studio supports API token-based authentication right out of the box, with additional authentication methods on the way. You can conveniently share the base URL and authentication data across all datasources you implement.
Our comprehensive datasource toolkit enables you to check, test, and modify remote data as needed. By simply entering the URL, AVgator Studio will assess the data’s compatibility and import it as a datasource. Furthermore, data can be updated by you or your technical support team without the need to build and upload a new version of the interface or reload the interface physically. This flexibility enhances your workflow and ensures that your interface remains up-to-date with minimal effort.
