netMESH by BleedIO Tech – origin story – introduction
When the iPod was first conceived and ultimately introduced to the music lovers of the world, it was not a response to this massive market begging for more innovation in digitized music. The market seemed quite satisfied with the incumbent digital efforts, like CDs, until they were disrupted by the novel idea of device-led portable music. In this case, the need was created for the market, not by it, and that was not the first time, nor will it be the last time such events unfold.
However, anticipating market needs successfully, is difficult. It’s a high risk/high reward play. Uber, Amazon, Meta, et al, are winning examples. New Coke, Google glasses, Sony Betamax, and the like, are examples of companies getting it wrong, high risk, no rewards.
As an organization that lives on the leading (bleeding) edge of development in IoT technology, there is no shortage of ideas to pursue, and a lot of uncertainty in identifying the winners. As a new organization, in this dynamic, connected space, we need to make the very best, most informed decisions about product development, balancing innovation and value creation with customer traction, interest and adoption.
The netMESH origin story begins at a chance meeting with Mike, an international commercial integrator in the connected space, and smart device manufacturer. To be clear, netMESH was not the reason for the meeting, netMESH was the result of the meeting.
Mike reached out to BleedIO’s CEO with several challenges, new challenges, as he was working in uncharted territory, thanks to the introduction of a BLE standard, Bluetooth Mesh. While Mike understood and appreciated the significant improvements the new BLE Mesh standard could bring to the IoT space, he also could see opportunities to improve several related processes.
As new releases of this email sequence are made available, we will dive into Mike’s mesh challenges, and how BleedIO addressed them, ultimately leading to the launch of netMESH. Look out for part two, to learn more about netMESH, a first of its kind SaaS designed to maximize your IoT.
