Boise, ID – July 20, 2023 – IFP Connect is a suite of fiber optic network connection products that enables replacement of category cable with a single strand of fiber optic cable. Now integrators can immediately deliver a better network to new projects with a virtually unlimited fiber network.
System design and installation with IFP Connect saves prewire and cable termination time and requires no special tools. All TCP/IP network data is transmitted between the IFP Connect switch and the single gang in-wall transceivers via a single strand of single-mode fiber with an industry standard SC-type fiber connector. The company’s patent-pending technology allows integrators to deliver a full fiber network to their clients at costs aligned with cat6a networks.
An IFP Connect network system consists of one or more IFP 8-port fiberoptic switches and multiple single-gang Fiber optic transceiver wall plates and a 12V power distribution hub and power supply. The fiber optic switch supports two RJ-45 ports for LAN input and to link out to additional switches, and 8 SC fiber connector ports for single mode fiber connection to each in-wall transceiver. Included with the fiber switch is a power distribution unit (PDU) and dual output DC power supply. 18-2 or category cable is connected from the PDU to each wall plate for power.
IFP Connect changes the game for network infrastructure by replacing copper category cable with fiber. Fiber offers substantial improvement for distance, system performance and ease of prewire. Fiber is immune from electrical and RF interference and may be installed in the most convenient pathway,
providing labor savings by occupying a smaller cross section installed through the existing AC/Romex pathway.
New products from IFP include PoE transceivers for devices like wireless access points, cameras and touchpanels. Eric Crawford, Inventor, and active CEO said, “Not only does our current Core product line address the immediate need for integrators to be able to deliver fiber networks in their projects, but our expansion into standalone PoE modules and our Elite PoE product line launching in 2024 will allow integrators to eliminate category cable for almost all data transmission in their projects.”
IFP Connect is led by Founder and CEO Eric Crawford and Buzz Delano. Crawford is a degreed engineer and former owner of a successful integration business of 17 years in Boise, Idaho. Delano is Principal of Delano Associates, a respected business development consultancy. IFP Connect is shipping its product to residential and commercial integrators with plans for manufacturing licensing and OEM agreements. Dealers may register their accounts and place orders directly with IFP Connect via the company’s website dealer store.
