FORT LAUDERDALE, FL | PoEWit Technologies, a leading manufacturer of PoE lighting, PoE motion detectors, and custom A/V networking solutions, has announced the release of its WAP-2E, a Wi-Fi 6E tri-band access point which supports 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz. The WAP-2E is built for the latest Wi-Fi standard – Wi-Fi 6E – and its uncongested 6GHz band enables fast connections in even the most challenging wireless environments. The WAP-2E is powered by PoE+ and supports six spatial streams (2×2:2 in 2.4GHz, 2×2:2 in 5GHz, and 2×2:2 in 6GHz), to deliver reliable and secure performance to many wireless devices simultaneously.

The WAP-2E is the fourth access point in PoEWit’s enterprise networking line, and like all other PoEWit APs, it can be configured with ease and without legacy baggage via the free PoEWit app, available for iOS and Android. The WAP-2E is also cloud-intelligent, and when coupled with one of PoEWit’s smart, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs), it can disable non-critical radios during a utility power outage, thereby preserving the backup battery for the most critical lights and devices on the network.
