and safe living environments to every home to CEDIA Expo, September 12-14, at the ColoradoConvention Center in Denver. CEDIA Expo is the leading trade show for the home technology industry with more than 500 leading home tech manufacturers and 20,000
tech professionals in attendance.

Throughout the three days of
CEDIA Expo, the Living In Place Institute will have daily demonstrations in its
booth (#949). These interactive demos offer insights into the challenges that
can unexpectedly affect our lives and routine habits and how design can be the
solution to lasting independence, and safety in our homes. Control4, a leading provider of automation and
home networking systems to automate and control connected devices including
lighting, audio, video, climate control, intercom, and security will also be
featured in the space.
NKBA Thought Leadership Tech
Summit – Connecting the Connectors
On Friday, September 13, the Living
In Place Institute takes to the stage at the National Kitchen & Bath
Association (NKBA) Thought Leadership Tech Summit – Connecting the Connectors, in
Denver. LIPI co-founder, Erik Listou will moderate one of the day’s panels –
“How Integrated Tech Brings Wellness, Security and Safety to All Homes”. The panel
will explore how the worlds of design and technology are leveraged to create
customized, adaptive in-home living experiences for all people, regardless of
age or ability
Joining Listou on the panel are
three Certified Living in Place Professionals, Jan Neiges, CKD, CLIPP and
principal at Jan Neiges Design in Denver, Colorado; LaDonna Ericksen, CLIPP and
founder of Interiors by Design in Omaha, Nebraska; and new CLIPP graduate, Ryan
Herd, CLIPP and CEO of 1 Sounce Choice LLC and founder of Caregiver Smart
Solutions. Joining them on the panel is Christina Reed, Project Design
Specialist for Monogram Appliances and an NKBA Thirty Under 30 alumni.
Design + Connection Pavilion Tech Collider Talk –
Healthy Home Automation
Also on Friday, September 13, Certified Living In Place Professional and
designer Barbara Barton, CMKBD and
architect Doug Walter, AIA, take the floor at the Design + Connect Pavilion (booth
#1960) to talk through their experience working together to design and build
today’s healthy home. Running the gamut from ground breaking to key turning,
Healthy Home Automation will cover aspects of a home and how they affect
someone psychologically, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Join them at
1pm MT for this engaging and informative conversation.

Saturday, September 14, Listou will moderate a Tech Talk on the CEDIA Expo Smart
Stage in partnership with CT.Lab
