Rose
Electronics is releasing a new line of Active Optical Cables (AOC) with a
variety of connectors, including HDMI A, HDMI D, DisplayPort, Mini DP, DVI, USB
A, and USB C.

These state-of-the-art
cables transmit high-resolution video, audio, and data up to 330 ft (100 m). All
of the optics and electronics are embedded in the cable heads. No external power supply is needed because it is
derived from the video source and display. Rose AOC
cables come in many styles, such as with fixed heads, detachable heads, and
differing connector heads at each end with built-in signal conversion.

The
detachable cables have removable connector heads, which snap on and off, and
ease installation. With the head removed, a pulling cover is attached and
cables can be pulled through walls, plenums, floors, and conduit. HDMI
detachable heads connect HDMI type A to type D. Single-link DVI detachable heads also connect to an HDMI type D cable.  The DisplayPort detachable
cable connects standard DisplayPort to mini-DP. 

The
two models of converting AOC available are USB C to HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort
1.2 to HDMI 2.0. Optional
cable features available include plenum rated (CMP), low smoke zero halogen
(LSZH), and armored for rugged environments. Armored cables are constructed with a TPU jacket, Kevlar mesh, and steel tubing. The combination is extremely resistant to pressure and tensile loads, and damage from rodent bites.

Active
optical cables are perfect for digital signage, presentation venues, board
rooms, hotel and restaurant, medical facilities, retail locations, industrial
settings, military sites, and many other environments.
