ICE Cable Systems Launches Obsidian Line of Premium Optimized Patch Cables

Offered in Cat 6, 6A and Cat 8 and pre-terminated lengths from 0.5ft to 20ft, Obsidian’s premium, highly-flexible connector heads and braided jackets make for easier installation into high-density racks. Available individually or in easy-dispensing bulk boxes.

Austin, Texas, USA – August 5, 2024 – At CEDIA Expo 2024, ICE Cable Systems (booth #1333) will debut its new Obsidian line. A step-up from its Slim line, these new high-performance patch cables offer dealers an optimized installation experience, exceptional performance and unparalleled value.

Obsidian cables feature premium materials including an anodized connector, braided jacket and full-spec conductors with oxygen-free copper. Reduced-size connectors are optimized to maximize ease of installation, providing extra room around the connector in high-density environments.

“Both width and depth of the Obsidian connector head have been optimized to allow for many cables to be connected in tight spaces and allow cabinet doors to easily close without putting stress on the cable. The cable itself is highly flexible at the head end, allowing for cable flex close to the connector, easing installation and allowing for a neater appearance,” says Brian Rizzo, CEO of ICE Cable Systems.
