RUSSOUND ANNOUNCES ANOTHER ADDITION TO ITS BUILT-IN
COMPLEMENT OF AUDIO STREAMING SOURCES WITH THE ADDITION OF
NAPSTER TO THEIR MBX-AMP AND MBX-PRE AUDIO STREAMERS
Only a few months after launching the new MBX-Series of audio streamers,
Russound expands its assortment by adding the popular Music-on-Demand
service Napster
Newmarket, NH – September 12th, 2019 – As one of the first audio manufacturers to
embrace streaming audio, Russound continues to expand its assortment by the addition
of its newest streaming audio partner, Napster. Napster joins the impressive list of
services that Russound offers its customers including TIDAL, Deezer, SiriusXM, SiriusXM
for Business, internet radio from TuneIn, vTuner, and Airable, as well as access to
streaming audio from Spotify Connect and almost limitless content through Chromecast,
AirPlay, and even Bluetooth.

of audio streamers, the MBX-Series including the popular MBX-AMP Wi-Fi Streaming
Amplifier and the MBX-PRE Wi-Fi Streaming Audio Player, our customers have continued

The Napster service will be made available to all MBX-PRE and MBX-AMP units through
a free, automatic firmware update due to be released in early Q4, 2019, coinciding with a
corresponding update to the MyRussound™ app for iOS and Android which will enable
users to access and control the Napster service.
Russound users will be able to access and control Napster easily from any phone or tablet
as well as through Russound’s dedicated in-wall control touchscreen, the XTSPlus.
Keypad control options for Napster are also available for users of the MBX-PRE with either
of Russound’s multiroom controller models, the MCA-66 six-source, six-zone controller or
the MCA-88, eight-source, eight-zone controller.
